The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) is an internationally recognized professional accountancy membership body. National Vocational &Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) is the apex body at national level to regulate, facilitate, set skills standards, accredit, provide policy direction, enforce curriculum, trade testing, certification of skills and develop skilled Human Resource in the Technical & Vocational Training Sector, enhancing employment for the youth, contributing to the national productivity and development. NAVTTC is effectively implementing Prime Minister’s programme “Skills for All” Strategy as a catalyst for TVET Sector Development in Pakistan, under which technical training is imparted to unskilled youth across the country, besides taking a number of steps into improve the TVET landscape in Pakistan.
In order to extend complete autonomy & effective management, the policy making task has been entrusted to the STEVTA Board consisting of eminent professionals, from Public & Private Sector, Representatives from leading industries, universities etc. Sindh Cabinet in its meeting held on 28th February 2009 entrusted, the administrative control of all TEVT Institutions of the Province to STEVTA.
Trade Testing Board Sindh functions to register and license all establishments, organizations or institutions which are offering vocational Training and conduct trade tests and certify skilled persons and trainers who may have received vocational training.
The Skill Development Council (SDC) Karachi has been constituted by the Government of Pakistan on the initiative of World Bank, International Labour Organization and Employers’ Federation of Pakistan, to make the Technical & Vocational Training Programs flexible, demand driven and cost effective with the maximum participation of employers.
